The CAP-ENV features a reinforced environmentally sealed door design while also providing the largest visually clear infrared *(IR) transmissive viewing area available on the market today. The exclusive pharmaceutical-grade reinforced Poly-View-System polymer allows any thermography camera to monitor completely undisturbed assets inside energized electrical equipment in the visual, UV and shortwave, midwave and longwave IR spectrums.

    The CAP-ENV is sized at 4”, 6”, 12” or 24” is the strongest and largest standard infrared (IR) window on the market. It is currently the only IR window that has passed the IEC 62271-200 arc flash test that subjected it to a blast with a duration twice as long as the certification required.

  • UL 50V

    UL 50V applies to infrared windows and is more of a classification than a standard that applies for performance-of-build characteristics.

  • IEEE C37 20.2a.3.6

    The IEEE C37 20.2 Section 3.6 is the impact and load requirement for all viewing panes installed on medium and high voltage switchgear. Panes made from crystal of glass will not pass these requirements.

  • UL 508 & 508A

    UL 508 and UL 508A are classification for the components used on electrical panels. UL 746C is a standard requiring flammability and impact tests for polymeric materials used on electrical equipment.

  • IP67/NEMA 6

    Enclosures for indoor/outdoor use to provide protection against incidental contact with enclosed equipment; provides protection against falling dirt, hose-directed water and the entry of water during temporary submersion; and will be undamaged by formation of ice on the enclosure.

  • UL 50E

    UL 50E standard applies to enclosures for electrical equipment intended to be installed and used in non-hazardous locations.

  • Lloyd’s of London

    Lloyd’s provides independent, third-party approval certificates attesting to a product’s conformity with specific standards or specifications. It verifies the manufacturer’s production quality systems through a combination of design reviews and type testing.

  • UL 1558

    Requirement covers metal-enclosed, low-voltage power circuit breaker switchgear assemblies containing but not limited to low-voltage power circuit breakers, switches, control, instrumentation and metering, protective and regulating equipment.

  • American Burea of Shipping

    An ABS assessment is the pre-approval of a product for use on a variety of ABS- classed ships following a technical evaluation. Ship designers, builders and owners can select the product to be placed aboard and ABS-classed vessel.

  • UL 746C

    Sets the impact & flammability standards for polymer materials used in electrical equipment to 1500 volts. Plastic/polymer parts of an IR window must pass flammability tests at room temperature & remain intact during an impact test performed at 0°C (32°F).

  • IEC 62271-200

    Withstood a controlled arc flash test using 1kV to 50kV metal enclosed switchgear to a voltage of 6kV using a current of 31.5KA for a duration of 1.1 seconds exceeding specifications by over 200% and withstanding a pressure of 18 bar.

  • DNV

    DNV Certification is awarded for marine and offshore applications and allows preventative maintenance on electrical equipment in these vertical markets. DNV covers Rules for Classification of Ships and Offshore Standards (vessels, tankers, military and cruise ships, and oil drilling riggs).

  • CE Mark

    The CE marking is the manufacturer’s declaration that the product meets the requirements of the applicable EC directives.

  • IP6X / IPX7

    Certified IRISS CAP-ENV windows showed no obvious signs of damage durring Dust Tight with Pressure (IP6X) testing conditions including Temporary Water Immersion (IPX7) testing.

  • IEC Vibration & Humidity

    Certified IRISS IR Windows experienced no obvious signs of damage due to vibration or extream humidity when put under IEC testing conditions for IEC 60068-2-6, 60068-2-3, and 60068-2-78.
